Insulator pin
An insulator pin is one kind of pole line hardware that is used with pin-type insulator.
Description:
The cover prevents contact with any conductive material. The metal cover can also act as an insulator for electrical current passing through it. This type of insulator pin is commonly used in power distribution systems and overhead line fittings.
Made of hot dipped galvanized steel, the insulator pin is strong and durable. It is also resistant to different external elements such as moisture that have the potential of causing rust and corrosion.
A zinc coating is applied to the top of the insulator pin to prevent corrosion and provide further protection.
Application:
These fittings are commonly used on electrical and telephone lines. An insulator pin protects against external damages to insulation by having a metal cover on top.
