Benzylaminopurine (BAP) is commonly used in tissue culture to promote the growth of shoots and roots. Gibberellic acid (GA4+7) is a gibberellin that is naturally occurring plant hormone that promotes stem elongation and cell division. The two PGRs work together to promote cell division, elongation, and differentiation. This results in increased shoot and root growth, as well as increased fruit size and yield. The combination of BAP and GA4+7 is particularly effective in promoting the growth of fruit trees. It has been shown to increase the size of fruits and to promote uniform ripening.
