What is Tinplate Sheet?
Tinplate sheet is a thin steel sheet coated with a layer of tin to prevent corrosion and improve its appearance. It is commonly used in the packaging industry for making cans, containers, and other metal products. Tinplate sheet is known for its high strength, resistance to corrosion, and ability to be easily formed into different shapes. It is also recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly choice for packaging materials.
Also known as SPTE, it is a cold-rolled, low carbon, thin steel sheet or strip coated on both sides with commercially pure tin. It mainly prevents corrosion and rust, combining the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability and aesthetic appearance of tin in a material that is corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, strong and ductile.
