HIFU high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a new technique of ultrasound surgery developed in the 1940s. It uses ultrasound as energy source, uses its penetration and focusing mode to focus the ultrasound energy on the SMAS layer of human body, forms a high sound intensity area in SMAS, which can penetrate into 3.0mm-4.5mm subcutaneously and make the temperature of SMAS tissue reach 65 degrees C within 0.5-1 seconds. Upper (the strongest temperature of all non-invasive skin-tightening instruments) results in collagen recombination in SMAS tissues without damaging normal tissues outside the focal area, thus achieving the effect of fascial elevation.
